Question about 80 series wheels..
Gday, just wondering if anybody knows if 35x12.5x15's fit onto an 80 series cruiser?
I know the 16 rims do, but i have no idea about the 15s
Thanks

Re: Question about 80 series wheels..
you'll probably get flamed for not doing a search, but it depends on which year your 80 series was manufactured... pretty sure, that if its after '93 then you'll have to go to a 16" rim (unless your prepared to start grinding back disks, calipers etc.. and voiding any sort of insurence you might have.. )Kong247 wrote:Gday, just wondering if anybody knows if 35x12.5x15's fit onto an 80 series cruiser?

"put it in low, second.. and unplug your brain"
well, dont take my word as solid. but you should be able to find a more definate answer if you use google (i find the outers search confusing at the best of times).
however, i thought the reason for upgrading the breaks (and hence the need for bigger rims), was because they upgraded from a 4L to a 4.5L...

You are pretty well right on the cut off so what rims are on it now and are they standard.
They upgraded both ends but it is only the rear disks that cause an issue but iff you use a big offset rim I believe it will clear but then you haev to be careful you are not sticking a heap of tyre out the guard.
Are the M/T's on rims, you will haev to determine the offset of these to see if it is OK. If you are trying to put them on factory 15" rims then you have another problem that they are only 7" wide so a 35 will not fit, at least not legally. Guys grind the calipers down a bit as it apparently only rubs a little but I do not recommend or condone this practice. Again it is illegal.
