Hi all,
Replaced my front wheel bearings on part time 105hzj cruiser.
tightened them up so i can feel some resistance to turning, but the cv
shaft does not protrude far enough for me to get the circlip on (i cant
see the groove it sits in) I know to pull the cv out with the thead in the
end, it just doesnt move far enough.
The only thing I can think to do is drive it as it is.. maybe they need
to wear in or something?
Please anyone got any idea?

Yep pull the disc and hub back off. Apprentice did this a while ago on a gu, fawked the hub seal and you couldn't get the cv out enough to put the circlip on.80's_delirious wrote:also check that the dust/grease seal in the back of the hub is seated properlyZ()LTAN wrote:if you cant pull it out far enough still check the bearing cups are home and the brass bush in the back of the swivel housing is also home.
good luck

what they both said it is very easy to have the bearing bind when it goes on a little rub with emery paper to clean the stub axle should do the trick
