sierra truggy,37 sticky treps,propane,6.5s and disconnect,lux diffs with spools,16" fox shox,hydro steer.
All really good advice so far, but remember, you have to make the tray suit you and what you need out of it.
I mean, if its only a comp rig, then youll most likely want to include a spot for the spare tyre in between roll bars and crossbars, etc.
But if you want to actually use your tray, then youll have to think about everything you are planning on doing with it, ie, camping, work, etc.
Im planning my own tray build at the moment, and it doesnt matter how many ideas I have for it, I have to make it work for me, I do alot of wheeling and alot of camping, so Im going to need tie down rails/points so Ive got somewhere to tie down iceboxes, gas bottles, water tanks, spare tyres, plus have a space for a small tool box.
Its all good to make a tray that looks great, but if it doesnt suit what you do with it, then its pointless.
Just something to think about.
Good luck with it mate.

sink the toolbox into the tray so its not taking up vital tray space.. custom trays usualy have much less room as they are shortened, roll bar's etc.
get a styleside and make it look like thissssss
by far the flashest looking tub/bar setup imo

3inch steam pipe?, you could i suppose. 38mm dom tube, 44mm or so dom is plenty enough, 2.6 wall thickness, approved for rollcages etc, steam pipe is not, 3inch of any pipe would also look quiet funny as an exo.
No weight, no traction?, its not the weight of the vehicle that gives traction....

Below is my tray,
75x50 frame, 44.4 DOM rollbar, 38mm DOM centre braces. Checkerplate floor sitting 25mm below the top rails. Toolbox sunk into the tray so it doesnt take up asmuch space. You can see in the pic, its a big toolbox lol.
If i didnt ruin my styleside i would have done the same style as above, still may one day.
My tray is abit to short for my liking, whilst building it i belived it would be fine, but when i tried to load it up for my first camping trip, it was a fail.
Had to resort to abit of skillfull packing in the art of triangles..

Got a lota mates that have uses steam pipe and buttwelds to make the front and rear bars, i was thinking about using it for the tray and the loop behind the body, then somthing else smaller for the exo and other bits. Can you get dom in buttweld angles or is it worth buying a Ebay pipe bender??3inch steam pipe?, you could i suppose. 38mm dom tube, 44mm or so dom is plenty enough, 2.6 wall thickness, approved for rollcages etc, steam pipe is not, 3inch of any pipe would also look quiet funny as an exo.
