Is it beneficial to change these for more power? Any suggestions?

Just use recimmended NGK s BPxxxx

More power....... i would have to disagree.
If u get irridium or platnum ones u definatly get heaps more life out of them ( like 100,000 KM instead of 5,000 Km )
Just change em every survace, usually 5,000km. Standard ones are only usually about $4 a pop.
