Wurth, masters of service and systems.
Sure you pay more for there products BUT.. Most of there products are superior to there competitors. Their systems are well organised and make it easy to find things which equals productivity.
You never have to worry about stock as they keep it stocked to the level you want..
Costs more but saves you money..
As far as an indecent proposal goes, I'd accept nothing less than $100,000 to tolerate buggery. Any less and it's just not worth the psychological trauma.
Great stuff
But Würth is not manufacturer - Würth is just a reseller brand

Lol wow your rep really has you sucked in! If a wurth rep can prove to me that having them go nuts restocking our cabinet every week or fortnight is going to be profitable for me, then I'm all ears.Ruffy wrote:Wurth, masters of service and systems.

We used to get everything from Wurth, but a bill of $600 + a month for aerosols and hose clamps etc is a joke. We can buy 12 cans of a cheaper brand carby cleaner for less than 6 cans of the wurth stuff. Sure you use more of the cheap stuff, but twice as much? I don't reckon so. Same with sump plug washers, wiper blades, light globes etc sure you may waste time initially shopping around for cheaper brands but you can save thousands of dollars in the long run. That said there is some stuff we will only buy in Wurth like brake antisqueak, sanding discs etc. Also for panel shops they are a must with their array of clips etc.

Wurth products are the Shiz!!!
We use a lot of their stuff. It is all extremely high quality.
Sure it costs a little more but the chance of a come back is almost zero.
I have used Wurth products and tools for over 12 years now and I have never ever had anything fail, break or not perform as specified.
PS. I get a calender every year!
Cheers,
Micko

Of course he doesn't, but they will if you don't keep an eye on them. Their job is to sell you as much of their stuff as possible, the more they sell the more commission they get. Our rep knows we only buy select things so doesn't do the hard sell, but everytime we get a new rep they try to sell you everything in their catalogue.Ruffy wrote:LOL wow.. I buy some of their gear for my business but not a lot as there is heaps of other stuff out there just as good for half the price or more!
True, a lot of their stuff is "rebadged" but it's still good quality.
I only get gear off them if I really need it and it's on a good special.
The rep I get is a brown nose, started nosing through all my consumables etc as soon as my back was turned one day. Nearly through the I'm gayer than aids! out on his arse there and then. He knows now

Wurth brake cleaner is the bomb, I've got a few boxes stashed away. Wynns did a better deal (well, flies the service manager to Thailand every year) so we use their rubbish now. Their anti-rust spray is pretty decent too. Anything matte black on my GQ is Wurth. Hate to be paying for it thought! Be careful of reps as said, ours is a bit of a tosser, loved to keep the cabinet stocked up with shit we didn't need.
I've never heard of these guys, but it sounds like they provide a service - people just need to define the service they want.
If' you're getting a $600 bill each month then you're either using $600 worth of their product, or they're continually increasing your inventory.
If they're increasing your inventory, sucked in. It's your business, you need to be in control.
If you're using $600 worth of product and NOT using your own time re-ordering each month (checking inventory / ordering / receiving / unpacking / stocking ) then I'd say it's a reasonable deal. Spend a few hours each month ordering & receiving stuff, or a few hours each month generating income? It's either/or - you can't do both with those hours.
You're not home with your family either.
Spending less isn't always cost effective.

The rep that calls into the bike shop is pretty straight forwards. He brings in their new or monthly specials (paint stripping wheels and chux pads the other day), asks if we need anything or have any dramas, then moves on. I'm not too sure whether its because we don't spend $100's a week with them or not, but he doesn't really stick around.
Im a mechanic and in my shop we only really use the aerosols, other than that ive bought an air ratchet and a gas soldeing iron. The air ratchet ive had for over 5 years and its still going strong. As already mentioned 10 times over, there stuff is pricey but it works a treat, im in love with there HHS 2000 synthetic spray grease, comes out like water and sets as sticky as honey. Nice for those tight situations haha theres always time for lube.
Don't know mate, don't know this guy so can't comment on him but there could.coxy321 wrote:The rep that calls into the bike shop is pretty straight forwards.
