NP Pajero ARB Front Locker

Post by ChrisnAida »

Hello, hoping someone can give me some info on how hard it is to remove front air-locker from NP pajero and fit standard diff centre back in.
Some might be thinking WTF, but workmate is selling his NM and said I can have the air locker if I pay to remove it.

Thank for any help Chris.

Removing the front diff is not a particularly tricky job for somebody mechanically minded, but it takes a few hours. I pulled mine out by myself, and it took me the best part of a day - but I had a few minor issues along the way  and actually lowering the diff from the vehicle by myself wasn't my idea of fun.

Once the diff is out, then somebody needs to swap centres - I paid a mechanic to do that as a "back yard" job.

Any idea what the ratios are? If you both have the same ratios you may be better to swap diffs - that will save some additional work.
