New M/T Claws???
Hey, just heard that a new design Mickey Thompson Claw is going to be released in June? Anyone have more info on this?
I've heard that they are more aggressive, they also have sipes, they come in a 54", and also they will have a different tread pattern to combat slippery side slopes, something about alternated tread blocks or something.
Any more info appreciated.
Cheers, Dano.

So is the whole range going to be the same as the TTC? It has been around for a year or two now, tread pattern only available in the 54s. Think it even has the Top Truck logo in the sidewall.
Interesting if they use that pattern across the range. It's a cool tyre.

the TTC was released in June last year, not new. But it only came in 54" at the time. Maybe your rumour was about them?

Maybe these aren't the new ones, as I was told by someone in the know that they were a new/revised tread pattern. Something about having stepped blocks in the centre or something, by the way he was explaining it, they must look like a km2 in the middle of the tread....if you get what I mean??? He did mention directional sidewalls as well, and he told me that they can be put on my car (3" lift GQ runs 33's) so no chance of a 54 under there!!!!
Cheers, Dano.

Thats odd there's zero mention of any new claws in any of the U.S 4x4 mags that I read. But I hope you right, see if you can get more info or pics.dano80 wrote:I know some one who used to work for their distributor......he has given me the lowdownbogged wrote:sounds like this bloke knows more than MT themselvesdano80 wrote:Maybe these aren't the new ones, as I was told by someone in the know that they were a new/revised tread pattern. Yes if this new tyre does exist it will be released in the U.S. first and then it normally takes a year before they arrive here.dano80 wrote:maybe they were to be released in the states in June???? Let me check......

I e-mailed MT in the U.S. and got sent this below.
We are looking in bringing the TTC in smaller sizes. Can’t release any details at this time. Check back in a few months.
