lift kit / rear staybolts

Post by rokbebop »

hi

when performing a body lift on a fez, how does one go about removing those bolts at the very back of the vehicle? These are the two bolts under the rear bumper and lights. As far as I can tell these bolts cannot be accessed from above. In the guide from warfs i says to remove them 'by way of nut'. how do i use a nut to remove these bolts

thanks

IIRC they are studs.

Get 2 nuts then screw them onto the stud. Tighten them against each other.

Spanner on "inside" nut - screw the stud out.

Replace with a bolt of appropriate length.
( usual disclaimers )

It seemed like a much better idea when I started it than it does now.
