i meant to post on this thread a cpl of weeks ago.
went donw to the beach for some cricket with some mates, took my car so that we could take the kegs down. only drove 40m onto the beach so i didnt bother dropping the pressure b4 going on.
needless to say, i did get a little bogged... so, stuck the stauns on (didnt have my recovery gear with me so no ezi-deflator) while digging out around the undercariege.
by the time we are done, 3 tyres are between 12 and 20 psi, 1 tyre has 0psi... it was so totally flat the when it was off the car and the valve pushed it, it actually sucked air back into the tyre!
my stuans have never been used on my vehicles prior to this, the stay in the pouch that they came in, sitting in my glovebox. they dont get treated badly because the dont bounce around and dont get used to be abused. they are the same setting as what came from factory.
the stuans maintain their position on my 'dont buy and avoid using if possible' list

staun deflators

Mine were great when I got them, deflated to within 1 psi of the 18 they were supposed to go to. they became dodgy when I tried to set them to a different pressure. Now I just screw them on in sequence wait til the first tyre looks right and take them off in the same sequence.. works for me, much easier than the arb twig, plus I have time to get a beer out of the fridge and drink some of it while watching the first tyre
i still think the arb is easiest. no need to keep track of time, its faster than the staun, and you always know what pressure u will end up at. never used the ferrets, but if the arb is essentually a ferret with a guage, then i think that the arb one wins.
i hate 99% of arb stuff

More than happy with my Stauns. Hadn't used them in at least a year, put them on over the weekend and after a few moments all 4 tyres were on 18.
Set them once properly (if you want a different pressure from stock) or at least make sure the lock ring is nice and tight and they'll keep their setting.

Apparently people think I'm too patronising (that means I treat them like they’re stupid).
