it also depends how much time and energy you've got. there are significant gains in flex and ride to be had by splitting the pack, radiusing all the ends of the leafs, lubricating and reassembling. a dropped front crossmember is also good for keeing driveline angles good and maximising lift from flatter springs.

if you've got more $ to throw at it, soften up the leaf packs by removing leafs, and fitting a torque bar to the rear axle.

If i take the springs out from under my truck, am i gonna end up with leaf springs around my ears, do they have any kinda tension stored in them? They are lookin a bit sad, in need of a paint, lubrication etc etc. is it just a matter of puttin her up on blocks, and pulling everything out and tidying it up again (obvliously its a bit more involved, but talking very generally here) and then reinstalling it back again.

Im not looking to change the spring pack, just making it more bling +}
Cheers,
Dan.

Jack the body up so the weight is taken off the spring then undo them, they are heavy solid and not sprung loaded.
