my mates got an old toyota the only thing good is the motor and his motor in his patrol is getin a bit sad so wonderin if theirs a place he can get a adapter plate or will the 1hz bolt on to the patrol gearbox cheers

Nah , Sell & buy td42 save youself the hassel - eveything different - exhaust on the other side , steer , A/C , fuel pump etc etc etc plus if you turbo it the td much stronger engine. The toyo is a quieter engine tho ...
Only do it if you are up for a challenge !!!

As said, don't bother. Someone might freshen up the TD and take the 1hz as payment perhaps...

yeah nah get way more hp cheaper out of a td42 somebody will buy his cruiser cause they are more ''classy'' than patrols apparently? dunno, saw that one in the toyota section,i am happy with my 236kw diesel ute with 32's on the dyno thats just me though. heard of 1 toyo diesel 6 in a nissan wagon cause it shat a 3L.

yeah x 2. got a mate with the shorty with a cruiser engine and box in it, what a drama! heaps of offset - ended with taking out the patrol rear diff and installing the weaker toyo one....

236RWKW!!!??........ gunna let us in on what's been done?

fudging up dyno figures seems to be all to commen these days. Alot of shops not saying all of them, But if they dnt get the power out of the mods they done, will do it. Easy enough to do from things as simple as putting the heat sensor on the exaust to not using direct drive gear. put an auto patrol in 2nd on the dyno and will punch out the numbers. But in saying that 236RWKW is posible from a TD42 but would take some serious $$$$$$$. I thought about it but decided be cheapr nd more power from a petrol. The price of a custom made inj pump is half my high hp petrol engine.
