Gen1 Bodylift bolt length

Gen1 Bodylift bolt length
Any chance anyone's got some info on factory body mount bolt lengths? Got some 40mm blocks ready to go in, and it'd just save time and running around if I didn't have to pull the bolts out first to get measurements.
Cheers Brendan

I vaguely recall reading something about this, but it could've been on the Pajero Club website. As you're aware, finding it here can be hit and miss.
On the Gen2 they're all the same length - 90mm (OE bolts). IIRC, they're NOT all the same length on the Gen1.
If you can't find the info, just make it your first task to pull all the bolts from one side, and take them to a bolt supplier i.e. if you can, pull the bolts out on Thursday night, find replacements on Friday, body lift on Saturday.
On the Gen 2 they're a metric fine thread - matching them in high tensile can be difficult, so most people buy new nuts too. I believe the RTA etc like to see nyloc nuts on body lifts, so it's an opportunity to avoid one argument. Keep an eye on the counter jockeys - I took in M10 metric fine bolt, said "I want M10 high tensile 50mm longer than this" and dufus came back with 3/8" UNC.
Also think about mudguard washers (i.e. large OD) for top & bottom - on the Gen2 they have an anti-rotation tab welded to the top which is larger than a standard washer, so this helps to spread the tensile load a fraction more.

Good info Scott, thanks for that. That's essentially my plan, pulling the old blocks and going to the bolt place, but at the moment the Paj is my only transport while the motorbike awaits rego (or rather, while my bank balance prepares for rego).
By the sounds of it the rear bolts are longer than the rest, guess the only way is to pluck em and see. Bugger eh??

I just put the body lift in mine today (gen 1) i put the 40mm lift in and i got bolts that we 40mm longer then standard. it worked for me. but some had a lot more thread sticking out then others. i will try and get to the old factory bolts tomorrow with a tape and post the lengths up here and in the mitsi section for future reference
Hi there, I have just bought lift blocks for my NF v6 lwb and are also interested in the bolt lengths, also if there is any other issues.

ill post up the mesurments thisafternoon, the longest are the ones rite at the back on my lwb nb paj, my fan hit the bottom hose outlet of the radiator, but jus trimmed the blades ever so slightly and was ok, also the brake booster hose wat too short and pulled off the manifold.... scared me as it was putting when i started it up, till i realised it needed a longer 10mm hose on it! lol. i did it all without help.. tho i used a hoist to lift body up whitch made it quicker and easier..
