Mate, strap the sticky's to the sides - like a bumper car. Is Scotty going to navy for you? - you're going to need them.

If you REALLY DO want to run 40s we can put it to the club for a vote - there are probably a few guys that want to go up a tyre size. If you want to get some names together to show who's interested then we have no problem discussing it at a committee meeting & puting it to the vote.

Sounds like you lads had a good weekend! Can't see any panel damage that couldn't be buffed out. Any major mechanical issues??? Otherwise see you in a few weeks hey? You could always be a spectator...

Bent a front shaft but that was an easy fix.

with the addition of mod class I can't see you challenge can't step up the anty a bit. Tracks are getting harder and harder each round so why not.

I guess the easiest way would be like Pete said.

Come to the April club meeting & bring it up.

If there is enough support for it, a vote will probably follow :D

How many registered cars are there in seq running 40" tyres that would enter? And most prob have a lot of other mods like cutting brakes, rear disconnect, full hydro steering, rear steer, portals and no rego. I think for a 40" class your going to have to do more than just up the tyre size to make it worth while.

I think if you could get a class that suits the above mods you would get the support.

Well now that there is the 3rd class of 35's, dual lockers, etc why have a class 38.5 class? Why not step it up too take 40's, cutting brakes, Half door's, maybe rear disconnect. (I disagree with portals but Ruff, they are a massive thing to buy, fit and get working. By 40's, cut the gaurds, drive it)

There is an Entry Level (trophy), Medium Level (Mod i think it's called) and just above Mod (Challange)

All I can see different between Mod and Challange is lift and tyre size.

I REALLY REALLY Don't want to go back to 37's and full door's!!

If you are will too/would like to see a change in the above rule's please PM or email or call me. I will be calling Peter Kitchen, Alan, and other numbers I have or can get hold off to make this happen!

Is the next club meeting on the 7th??

I have just called Peter Kitchen and have had a quick chat about it all.

I will be asking the club too look at 40's, half doors and cutting brakes as a starting point. We can look at rear disconnect after that Aaron

Please PM, Email, attended the next club meeting or even post your name/support here if you would like too.

Thank all
Ben

i do not compete but might do in the future and i agree with some posts that with the inclusion of mod class why not up the ante with challenge class, id vote for 40s even tho id probly only run 37s.

Ok after many calls today there is a few things too look at.

WE NEED Votes, Name's, Number's of any and all Club and NON Club Members that would support the rule change. I will also try looking into insurance as I am told that, that is the biggest issue.

I will be writting a letter and need all the above info

Who support's the change -

I support any changes to Challenge class also. To combat insurance issues, why not increase the safety requirements of the cars? Better roll cage systems and harnesses for example. Most cars have these already in challenge I think anyway.
