I have just installed one of those vacume oil pressure guages in my 80 and was wondering what reading I should be getting of the guage on both idle and foot down.

are u talkin about a vacuum gauge?

if so it should goto 0 when u flatten it, not sure wat it should run on when idling.

but when driving, the higher the number the less load the motor is under, so its using less fuel....

If it's an oil preasure guage then at operating temp at idle should be 29 kPa and at 300 rpm should be between 245 - 490 kPa.

Yeah it's a pressure guage. It reads in psi, it has about 20 psi idle and about 40 psi under revs. Every on tells me something different. Some say what it reads Is great but some say bad lol. The usual story.

Cheers for the reply guys
