wheel studs
wheel studs
hey guys how easy and what do i need to replace rear wheel studs on gu ute? looked in bible and owners manual with not much luck. do i need to pull the whole axle out?? dont quite understand??? thanx
nah mate just hammer them out - from outside inwards. Then get new ones (shop around i suggest). Grease the crap out of them and poke them though form behind where the others came out, using a open ended wheel nut (usually they come with studs) on the outside tighten it up to pull new stud though.
Try to line the machines lines up on the inside of hole and studs to make it easier.

Cant say i have done this on my Gu yet but have done it on other 4bs. As for taking the rotor off that depends on how much room you have behind there, its really just as easy too see if you can actually beat the stud out and put another one in from behind it with the amount of room, If not start taking stuff off till you do hehe. Hope this helpsjemmos wrote:ok, but do i need to pull the brake rotor off, or any thing?? thanx
