Hilux diffs for f75

Post by sicklaser »

Hey everyone. I know I should probably just buy a 80 series wagon or similar but I just love my little rocky. Biggest problem is getting lockers for the diffs which seems to be impossible to get. I've read a lot about hilux diff conversions but has anyone done one? What model hilux diffs do the use? Cheers Dan

I used LN106...

I still actually prefer the original axles as i've never managed to snap them after all these years with the detroit locker.

I broken a halfshaft b4 on the LN106 with lockers.

Ok awesome. I'd love a detroit for the rocky diff but rare as hens teeth. Was it a tremendous job to do?

If it was me I would go the 80 series diff as if its a wide body rocky (with factory flares) They are already wider than a lux, were 80 series diffs are 8 inches wider than the luxy ones.

If money was not an option would have gone straight for Volvo C303 axles for the same price over here hehe.
But either way i can't afford them.
