gu shocks in gq patrol can it be done

hey runnin a 3 inch lovell spring a 1inch coil spacers and want to know if i can run a 4 inch gu shock as i can get them cheaper or is ther and other alternative as i think i know of a gq runnin lancruiser shock pretty sure they are 80 series is this also possible and when i do the lift how many extended brake lines do i nees can i swap front to rear or visa versa and just get to i have been told this but am unsure cheers

gu and gq are interchangable, they will bolt up directly, gu coils will sit taller in a gq though, as a gq is lighter
