Jimny parts on SJ80
Jimny parts on SJ80
Hey guys, was wondering if any of the Jimny suspension parts (or any otehr parts) will fit on my SJ80....im located in Barbados (in the Caribbean) and its a pain trying to get parts for coilys over here....usually have to order from Australia and i'm sure you can imagine the shipping usually costs as much as the parts....any help would be appreciated
Do you have the Jimny or are you looking to buy?
There is not much similar items.
Whole Rear diff looks the same.
The powersteering box and lines will bolt on, unsure about the pump. Also if it has that option over there.
Possibly better control arms etc.
Nothing else that i know of! (im wrecking 1 jimny at the moment, i have 2 leaf samurai's/santana/sierra/jeep swhatever theyre called over there.)

everything is different, the diffs are 40mm wider, all the mounts
are 40mm wider apart, the rear arms are longer, the front arms have a
bit more meat around the bend of the arm, the shock mounts on the rear
diff are on the rear of the diff and on the front of the diff on an SJ80
I've looked into putting Jimny diffs under my coily and its just too much work.
You would have to move all the diff mounts towards to
centre or move the chassis mounts
out to suit the diff. It's just not worth it. I think it would make more
sense to use wide track diffs on a coily, that would allow you to get all the
axle/cv/locker upgrades available.

96 Coily, 100mm lift, Jimny Front Diff, 4.09 diff gears, Reduction gears, 30" Trepadors, 6 Point Rollcage, Custom Bash Plates, Open diffs to give the big guys a run for their money!!
o ok thanks...some guys were saying the Lockrite lockers wont work in the SJ80's rear diff...what do u guys think about that?P@nda wrote:everything is different, the diffs are 40mm wider, all the mounts
