WINCAPS Download

Post by Bitsamissin »

This link appeared on Trail Talk.
You use to have to pay to be able to download it but it seems to be free now.
For those that don't know what this is Wincaps is a windows based computerised automotive parts system.
This is for all Mitsi based vehicles and is meant to be the latest version.
This the programme your Mitsu dealer has to look up a spare part.
It's a very useful tool.
However remember this will be for US based vehicles only and won't contain all the details of locally Aus specced vehicles.
No one I know of has managed to snaffle a copy of the Aus based programme. I have a Japanese specced version that goes to 97.

Is there an Australian version of this available yet?

The latest one floating around is the 2006 version I downloaded this last week and it has everything up to Gen 3 3.2 GDI and 3.8 petrol.
Doesn't include Aussie models (I think it's only Euro & Jap).
The 2007 update as promised in the above link hasn't surfaced yet and that's the holy grail one that everyone's been waiting for (has all models Aus, Jap, US & Euro).
The 2006 one is still pretty good though.

Jap Caps http://files.dsm-club.org/caps/caps_jap_0703.rar

Euro Caps http://files.dsm-club.org/caps/caps_eur_0607.rar
I've installed the 2004 version 3.41

If I download the files as above, how do I update my WinCaps?.

I need to access the Gen1 2.5TD data, which I presume will be in the Jap Caps file.

Thanks
