cool so the 6.5's are tough but what are they like on the road (cause mine is still a daily) what sort of rpm are you doing at 110km/h, the 20% reduction on hi range worry's me a little
and dose any one run the atlas gears from locktup4x4 cause im interested in these, as i under stand they only affect low range. but they nearly cost the same (any opinion is good)

I put probably 15000km on a set of 6.5s on the highway. They're now getting a beating under Matt's Cut4b trail rig. i run the trail gear 6.5's with 3.9 diffs turning 32 pedes daily driver. in high range and standard motor 110km's is a bit of a myth to me so yeah. but as far as low range goes they r brilliant, been running them 4 6 months now with no drama's at all. Can not fault them in the bush or the beach. And there easy enough to fit urself saving more $$$'s
4 wheel jive you will have 4.3 diff centres unless they were changed previously for some reason so with the 6.5s itd be pretty revy up the road,but crawling would be sweet.

sierra truggy,37 sticky treps,propane,6.5s and disconnect,lux diffs with spools,16" fox shox,hydro steer.
The 6.5's with 31' tyres are a great combination with standard diffs. Cant remember RPM's, but they arent near redline in 5th at 110. I run 4.16's with 235/75/15 BFG's (30's) and stock WT diffs (3.7 i believe). I'd say its a 65/35 split between the gears and locker for best additions I've made. Cos I'm running a turbo GTi set up and redline is set to 7800rpm, previously I could do about 140km/h @7800rpm in low range, now its about 65km/h @7800rpm, which makes my low 3rd about what my stock low 1st was with 30's. You could say its given me atleast 2 extra gears. It just wont die in low range and with 1st equalling about 1km/h per 1000rpm its no surprise.
Because my rubber is approx 11% larger than stock the 12% reduction in high has brought my high range back to stock, so rev's on the road dont change with 30's, from memory about 3600 at 110km/h, does that sound right??

Sierra transfer cases and other zook stuff
Hey guys I am in the north/west sydney area (baulkham hills If you know it) and I build and modify sierra transfers on the weekends. I cant even tell you how many I have re-bearinged. I have built plenty of 6.5s units. I know most of you can do the 6.5s your self but let me know if any of you out there need it build for you.
I do the work cheap and I quite often take other goods as payment
$140 to go through it and replace all bearings and seals.
$180 to install any new gears using old bearings with old seals.
$200 to replace all bearings seals an install new gearing.
$10-20 extra to install into any standard cradle
$80 to install a rocktoy ring ( I re-enforce the mounts at the same time.)
$25 to clean your old case and Paint it after all work is done
$80-150 to remove and install your case if you want me to do it all for you. This price will depend on how modified and or how hard it is to get out.
I can supply all bearings and seals for $85
I will supply gear oil at what ever price I can get it if needed.
I can often get my hands on plenty of other zook parts and I do other zook related work let me know if I can help anyone out.

But I replaced the block to go to a 1600. I couldn't get it started because it had 3 different kill switchs on it. As soon as I cut out all the extra blue lights, rock lights wiring, the kill switchs, turbo timer and a few other extra wires the previous owner put on it. It started up first crank.
Idiot all the same. It took me two weeks to figure it out. I hate wires they have always been my downfall.
