Hey All, first post, 4x4 Bus w/350/F350/Dana/Spicer

Post by robertbruce »

Hey All,

this is my first post and i would like to thank the owners, moderators and participants of the site for their efforts...

the vehicle i have is a 4x4 Toyota Coaster with a Chevy 350/THR700R-4/F350running/w/Dana & Spicer components, front & rear locker all sitting on 33's with dual shocky full-floating tail. It also has more modification plates than a picnic-setting and is set up as a 10-day self-sustaining camper/motorhome...

it's a great truck, im sure some of you would be familiar with it...

Here i am in my first outing at my favorite abandoned quarry...

it went well...very well indeed...

OK - so we gotta help you get 10 posts up - without turning you into a pad-whore (we have enough of those already...)

I don't suppose you grew up in Adelaide?

grew up in briso...

and that's sort of how the bus looks,
it's gassy old, bold & loud beast...

it's so much fun i burnt reverse out on the blackall ranges over the weekend :) :) ...

reverse was going anyway, i've not had it long and was prolly the fault of the difficult to find reverse on the shifter more so than the previous owner... the rest of the bands seem fine...

the lockers are great, low range is un-be-leviable and the only thing that stops it is low branch's dragging over its 500W uni-solar array..

we can get around the 10 post limit. just use photobucket and post a link.

I wanna see some max bus flex!

if you were on the sunshine coast i could recommend a good auto gearbox rebuilder

either way it looks good and its a good use for one of those old busses
