The occurance I recall was on that big Outerlimits trip in the Watagans at the end of January. It was fairly late in the night, I was reasonably tired (head injury really plays up when I'm tired) and I had an attempt at bugger rock. I put the front wheels up on the rock, and was happy to get snatched from there, so hit the anchors. The handbrake wasn't holding real well that night, so I tried to stay hard on the brake with my right foot. While waiting for the snatch, my leg really started to bounce. Not a good feeling when you are hanging by the steering wheel, staring at the night sky above, with a bumpy drop behind you!
What were you worried about... There was a big white GQ hooked up to you there!
Oh... and the dodgy rag-joint wasn't the main thing on your mind???
Once the big white GQ was hooked up I knew I was in safe hands It was just before the hookup that I was a little concerned.
The rag joint didn't worry me too much while I wasn't moving. Even moving slowly I had confidence in it. The trip home in the dark on the dirt road, freeway and street was the testing point - checked it regularly and kept mighty alert on the steering wheel
