Ahhh the memories. The bad bit about the one with all the guys on the bullbar helpuing me find traction is i drove up the same hill quite easily only a few weeks before hand.

Kind of a shame that my old Feroza looks nothing like it once did anymore. It's been slowly stripped along with time and now looks quite odd with stock wheels and lifted.

Keep digging up the pics, they were certainly great days of offroading, got any pics of Mark H taking on the waterfall???

Question Troy....

Do you still own the feroza? If so do you still have the plates? They were the first thing I tried to get for it and then stumbled onto your sit some months later....

Cheers
Paul

Nah i sold the Feroza some time ago, wish i hadn't but i did. I still see it getting around now and then around Newcastle. I had some fun getting them myself. I went in to get them to find someone had them, but had handed them in. The RTA said they would be up for re-issue a year after they were handed in, which i subsequently took note of the date and was back in their on that day. I do recall being parked opposite a Feroza at the first Tuff Truck Challenge with FER-05A plates on it

Here's the only pic I know of from the waterfall near the Spanish Steps...ran out of film and missed the next one...bummer, coz it was a pretty amazing climb...and, as it turned out, put Mark in a good position for a recovery on the next climb....I think it was Troy had a hairy moment...

I think a lot of people are now doing this climb in bigger trucks, but as far as I know, Mark was the first person to ever even try it...a sort of a dare really

I have to say, the best things about those trips were the guys on them. As much as i loved my Feroza i am thankful of owning one because it bought me to meet a great bunch of people and plenty of fun days 4WDriving and hopefully catching up with as many of them in the future. Could have sat around all day playing Chess with them and would have been just as good.

Hey, bit off topic, just wondering about the snorkel fitted to the white rocky, what type is it, is it a rocky snorkel , or another model modded to fit??

I think off memory, it was an MQ/K Nissan Patrol Snorkel. Maybe a GQ, not sure, but do certainly remember it being a Patrol Snorkel, and also not manufactured anymore. Heath may come on and be able to give more detail.

Yeah, Heaths Rocky Snorkel was a MQ/K one made by AirFlow - not sure if they are still made. They were available at the 4wd Shop at South St Rydalmere in Sydney ( can't remember their name ) not sure if they still are made though. The GQ one should be similar - but not the Safari one - it is too long.

Still looking for the "Waterfall Pics" - did find these ones of my Feroza on the same trip though - now this is what I call bogged :D
