Yes it is correct. They had to walk back to camp and grab their tow car and go back to recover it.

YEAH i think this is a bit slack, they pay entry fee for comp get forgotten about, have to recover themselves which therefore made them late for the dinner on saturday night missing half the presentations. A BIT BLOODY LAME.....

It also rasies the question as to why all other competitors were not there to lend a hand . Also isnt it XWC rules that no competitor can return to camp until all vehicles have completed there stages . So it still comes back to the competition manager mainly but also to the fellow competitors who all should still be there until his car is recoverd . But all in all a very poor out come weather it is there first race or there 100th everyone deserves the same amount of respect and help because without the new and old competitors our sport will become nothing and no wants to leave a race thinking this is siht i have an mishap and everyone just walks away . Just remember guys we are not racing for sheep stations just for the love of the sport and i know we all like to win but there is no reason not to lend a hand .

Yes it did happen, I do apologise to Paul & Robert for my short fall. Sorry guys.

Yes there is always more then one side to a story.

But as I am the Competition Manager I take full responsibility for what happened.

So if you were not there at the time and place that it happened it would be best you did not comment. Or if you must comment give me a call.

So it is best left at that.

Cheers

Just want to thank Dave in giving myself and Rhys the opportunity to learn on how to set courses and the valuable information of the inside workings that go on behind the scenes of organising and running of the ARB winch challenge series. I intend to developed more knowledge and experience into the makings and workings of a event as this.
I understand the broad shoulders quote, and you cant please everyone, but to be fair to all. Thanks again.

Kind regards Chad.

I remember that it was I that got you back on wheels and off the track so that I could keep the SS running, still had a good few vehicles to run, or do you forget that part. I also think that you and your supporters were having dinner at camp that night???

I know that you will correct me if I am wrong.

Cheers

my car was dragged off the track for the last 2 cars then over the uhf came the call that it was over for dinner and off everyone went, and me and rob ended up cooking dinner a few hours later when we got the car back,
we would have been walking back if skip hadnt come past, just thought it was pretty piss poor is all

What about all the effort Dave has to put in, Just to run this event. ive been to manny winch challenges myself an (and competed) thought they were all Really well run. Im sure that there would be some Explanation as to why A car was left. Things like this happen. Dave isnt god.
also id like to point out that this event is designed to test both teams an the trucks!.
in doing this Sometimes spectator friendly stages arnt always an option, But im sure over the past years the tracks have only gotten better as far as spectating goes.

just my opinion.

cheers josh hodge!

my first winch challenge in a few years had an absolute ball and am signing up to do rocky, the spectator crowd that accompanied me along also say they had a good time, so much so that they also intend on making the effort to get to rocky.
