GQ manual gearbox & transfer weight

Weighed my manual 90 maverick drivetrain as it normally is, all bolted together.
gearbox, transfercase, bellhousing, shift fork and thrust bearing, shifters, handbrake assembly, oil, crossmember.
No driveshafts

185kg

All i have ever heard previously regarding the weight of GQ gearbox etc is 285kg for the assembly. i think this must have been a typo or chinese whispers cause it is exactly 100kg more than what i weighed.

i weighed a transfer case I have at 53kg with the handbrake shit on it, so that means the gearbox is about 130.. not too bad really..

edit: must learn to read! 130kg less all the other stuff you listed, so even less!
