also see it on plenty of the cruiser pics...
where do people buy those big black front fender flares?
since they're so big do people cut away the guard and fit them?
i ask because my factory flares sit much lower compared to the black ones which seem a lot higher and look like they make the wheel arch larger.
cheers

Yes but that one doesn't have a shiny orange paint job or a proper rear sway barrockcrawler31 wrote:I beg to differ. I propose that this one is right up there too.SimonInAustralia wrote:Doesn't get much tougher than this, does it?...

Although i'm sure that Rob (owner of the yellow one) is gonna give me some stick next time i see him
hahaha wel cut a long story short we jumped it about 1200mm off the ground by mistake snapped the front diff and stuffed the front shock got it back home fixed it up took it out just to make sure the 4wheel drive worked but haddent got a new shock yetmaddog_75 wrote:just wondering about this pic...
how come the front shocks are missing???
haha, ACCIDENTALLY ay?
thought it might of been some little trick to make it more flexy offroad as i've seen it done before on some other cars.
in terms of the spring over conversion, i know its illegal to do, but can it be legalised with a certificate? cost?
i've had a look and it seems like a fairly easy process (take current suspension out, weld spring perches on, fit leafs on, fit hi-steer, extended brake lines) but if it means i get a yellow sticker i might just leave it spring under.

in qld its not legal but in nsw it can be done and all of wat u said is wat was done but also changed the shackels from the front to the back and welded a 8mm plate to the diff to take the steering damper and doin that also made it flex moremaddog_75 wrote:haha, ACCIDENTALLY ay?

It worked really well at the comp mate, I reckon you could chop a fair bit of chassis and tray off mate, would look cool. Do you drive that thing every day?
Braden Tagg of XRO Racing is scum and not to be dealt with. See here http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=223295

How about Black???
This is one of the local guys that comes into work occasionally. Was a black 88 model 75 Series with a warm but tired 3F, crappy bullbar and a Patrol bonnet scoop....
Now it has an LS1 with 255KW out of a wrecked HSV Senator, modified 100 Series bullbar, custom dash & steering wheel and the shiniest tool boxes I've ever seen. Mickey Thompson Classic Lock II's and twin pipes finish it off well. Goes like a shower of the proverbial.
One of our apprentices jumped in the passenger seat for a lap of the block and reckons that in 2nd gear, it just steps out of line everytime the throttle gets mashed.
Crappy phone pics ahoy.....

i am looking for colours to paint mine too, am thinking about the new commodore dark green, looks pretty nice, only thing is, i am not far off building a front bar for it, and will require to paint that, but i want it to match the green, (ie different colour but work well) and have no idea what that colour could be...
