As mentioned during the 'presentation' late on Saturday we noticed some errors with the scoring
After several recounts it turned out to be a very close competition with TLCC pipping Bong Bong by one points.
Comming into 3rd place was On All Fours, sureley helped by Pauls front wheel drive only finish on the log course

We want to congratulate all teams for what was once again an action packed comp.
Measures are being put in place to ensure greater accuracy with the scoring. We are still learning and ironing our processes out and appreciate all the clubs understanding

And again a massive thank you to all who helped out the day, be it marshalling, team managers or any other task all you guy are what make the comp happen. Without helpers we cant do anything and no words can express our gratitude.

We look forward to seeing everybody back at Round 3 (27th June 2010) for what is shaping up to be a tightly contested series.
I know the Bong Bong -v- TLCC rivalry is hotting up ;)

Thanks Paul and can I add congrats to my team mates Jon Jon & Stevo. I am only an apprentice compared to these two.

Also thanks to Jason our Team Manager who is every bit as passionate as we are. And finally to our marshals, Andrew and Kurt, as without these guys giving their time for nothing more thanks and a hand shake we wouldnt have the chance of being involved.

Denny, Charles and the Bong Bong, sorry guys I know how you must feel as we had the results reversed against us last round. As for the rivalry Tiny - yeah it's good fun and keeps us honest. Now if only I could drink as much beer as Denny while repairing the hilux .....

Round 3 bring it on. :D

Thanks once again to the organisers for another great day, congrats to TLCC and Bong Bong who from what I saw had some awsome drives. We had a mixed sort of day some silly mistakes costing us points and time. But we are yet to roll over and give up......... ;)

Just a small technicality
533 and 535 dont add up to 1082.
It's going to be hard enough to beat these guys as it is without any more scoring discrepancies :)

PS Congrats on round 2 which was better again than the first. We would be pleased to help you with promotion of round 3 by printing and distributing flyers at club meetings and in our respective work places, including mine which is locally placed in Huntingwood / Eastern Creek. Send me a PDF and I will do the rest.

There was 5 Buggies running around the same course in there own little comp. There times to do the tracks were halved from 15mins to 7 mins, and most courses were completed by them with in 3mins.
They were great to watch, and at this stage from my undersatnding there will be out there again for round 3 hopefully with about 8 running around.

Buggy drivers were
Mal Van and Sam Keck
Nick Finch and Robyn Van Ysseldyk
Wayne Murphy and Dean Soldergeld
Luke and unsure of navis name
Mark Lenstra who had mechanical difficulties.

as Matt has said above there were buggies there last round and at this stage will be back for rd3

the idea was to give some of the blokes with buggies somewhere to ba able to have a go with all buggy comps now gone and to help fill the feild a little, add some different and extra crowd entertainment

At this stage I beleive they will be back as will the moto trials blokes who were missing last round due to a scheduling mishap

Matt, Nick won, Nick and Sam were neck and neck up to track 6 where Nick had a clean 2+ minute run, Sam did a 5+ minute run with 3 penalties

So there is no official buggy class as yet then?

I should be able to add another buggy to the ranks in the next couple of months, it would be good if there was at least one comp to go in!

The series does not include a buggy class in that the buggies that are there do not compete against the main challenge class competitors but the buggies there (limited field) do drive under competition rules with time limits, penalties etc.

As far I know, the boys are looking to have about 8 buggies there and it will be first in first served so if you do have a buggy and want to have a play then I would suggest you contact mark.aylott@4x4masters.com.au ASAP to get your entry in and paid for round 3

No Mark, ive had several brain fades during its construction, its almost complete. Very keen to come along for social drives when its running. From what ive seen of the track at Eastern Creek im not expecting a big challenge for the buggy, but its a comp at least!
