IHI VF12 Turbo on a 97 TD42...?

Post by steve patrol »

Any good with the 4.2l oil burner. Its a 97 so cant run too much boost Ie 20 - 25 psi. How much would be safe? Will be intercooling it as well. 305,000kms on clock.

Cheers

Geez, you're keen as mustard! I would think that "not too much boost" should fall anywhere between 7psi and 15psi.

Can you post pics, or describe any of the turbo's markings (like A/R, intake diameter, flange type [T2, T3/T4 etc]), or even an ID plate?
