air lockers and compresser incab

Post by nicbeer »

Hey,

Considering mounting my ARB (new style) compressor incab (posb under center console or in new rear draws.

what do everyone do when they have incab mounted and run air-lockers, with regards to the connections to the solenoids.

I have thoughts to run a ~9L airtank (already got) underneath and run the solenoids off a manifold bolted to this. this i haven't decided yet.

thaks

i just finished doing mine
i wouldnt put the compressor under the centre consol it will annoy the crap out of you. ive got mine behind back seat and its still pretty loud.

all my solinoids are directly on the tank under the tray then air lines run from there.

have connected
air switch
pressure switch
releif valve
air in
air out for acc. tyres ect
drain plug
all are directly on the tank

cuz has one under the centre console of the patrol (not sure which model of arb it is tho) and its not all that noisy.

also with a tank once tank is filled you will un for ages off the tank. lockers don't use a lot of air. when your blowing up tires your out of the vehicle so noise doesn't matter.
i like in cab, its far cooler than in the engine bay (pump will run for longer before it cuts out), usually dry and doesn't get covered with mud !
