I`ve had trouble before (mine is an 85 4-runner) with 16x8inch alloys which were for a nissan or landcruiser they were offset in too far and rubbed my disc calipers, steering pitman arm and probably my chassis on articulation etc.
I`m currently running 15x10inch USA steel wheels to suit nissan/lux/cruiser but my truck has VENTED disc calipers fittted & these rims also rubbed on the calipers which i had to grind off approx 4mm of the edge of the calipers to fit.
