Handbrake cables problems with blocks

Anyone got any ideas how i can resolve this handbrake cable problem ? Can i lengthen or shorten the handbrake arm on the drum ???

I lengthened mine with a little bolt on plate, worked fine, had it that way for about 4yrs. now have discs but.

how night are the blocks on my ifs housing the cable fits just under the spring pack with 50mm blocks

Something like this. Easy to make and you get a better hand brake out of it too. :cool:
