99 4.5ltr patrol problems

Post by nats_surf »

Hi guys i had a quick look on hear for another similar post but couldnt find anything. Just a quick question i am looking at buying a 4.5ltr petrol patrol with 141,000k's on it is there anything that actually goes wrong with these engines besides not very good fuel economy?

pretty solid engine, is it on lpg? lifters can be a little noisy but thats normal from what i have heard. mine has been on lpg since day one and is still going strong with 127000. I just looked for oil leaks, even idle. They are known to do a radiator and looking at the ks yours has it may have been replaced already.

They don't like towing big loads. On the autos there is a big gap between 1st and 2nd.
