there are some calculators that can tell you what the final crawl will be
just enter in your tyre size, diff and transfer ratios here.

if it is just a trailer car may as well go the 5.29 centers

4age zook ute in lots of bits
Your post is pretty hard to understand, and you haven't specified gearbox or tyre size, but if you are into crawling you'll want the 5.29's.
Bear in mind your car had 5.12's in the stock suzuki diffs. I assume you are running over a 27" tyre, so I think you want more reduction in the diffs than you had with stock diffs... not less
Steve.

I assume you have a vitara motor and vitara manual gearbox then? You'll have 82:1 crawl ratio. I think that will be OK.
It would be better if you had an auto though. Although the basic number drops to 57:1 with a trimatic, the real number while crawling is multiplied by the converter ratio, which is 1.8:1 - so that's 102:1 when fully stalled up.
If you run an AW-4 from an EFI vitara, you'd have 2.95:1 1st gear and 2.4:1 converter ratio, so 158:1 when fully stalled up.
Desirable crawl ratio also changes with powerband and torque. Lower powerband and more torque and 60:1 might be fine. A stock 1.6 and you want more.

That depends what you are crawling, but 82:1 should be OK.
Im not to sure what "not to slow but not to fast" means. That's mostly up to you.
If you actually mean crawling that means with minimal tyre slip. You're doing it with traction, not momentum. For that, too slow only means boredom. It's not a capability issue. And nobody says you have to idle in 1st gear though either.
what's "too fast" depends on what you are driving. I have 127:1 with 34-35" tyres, and sometimes I'm at idle with my foot on the brake to be going slow enough to be comfortable. that's not a problem with an auto. A mates car runs 38:1 with an auto and 35's and it's fine.... because it's an auto - he can go as slow as he wants.
I can't tell you what's right for you, only help you to understand how to work it out. I don't know what you drive, who you drive with, or how experienced you are.

i think my zuk with std 1.3 box,6.5s and 3.7 centres was around 87:1 on 31s and while it was super slow for most driving and too slow at times i still found occasions where i was on the clutch or could of driven slower.Would be good to not be riding pedals in real tricky bits
Because you have plans of comps and have some sweet trucks to go out CRAWLING with and will be pushing big tyres with the zuk id go the 5.29s.See how long the vit case lasts and maybe go from there. Not saying there weak or anything tho as i have no real knowledge on them.

sierra truggy,37 sticky treps,propane,6.5s and disconnect,lux diffs with spools,16" fox shox,hydro steer.
