The Disco has had a major overhaul, now has the ute chopped off and a tray. It has also had a power upgrade with the fitment of Gen3 Motor & Auto.

Appartently they are running close to time and will do the finishing touches on the trailer on the way up.

It's getting exciting now!!! Only 7 days until the event begins!!

P.S. Sorry to mention that to those people still building cars.

Me thinks that right now at 9.15pm Saturday night the week before event there will be 25 angle grinders keeping 25 neighbourhoods awake right now.

1 more sleep for me.

6am flight tomorrow Melb to Gold Coast.

Lawrie is supposed to have the car finished and fully tested by now so I'm thinking a spot of fishing and a day on the golf course and we should then be heading off.

Just read Hobbsy's post and I've got a surprise for him when I pick him up tomorrow morning, straight to the workshop. The Lux is mobile but we will still have a couple of days of finishing touches and testing. He will not be getting any rest. See you all at the Hill.

Hey guys. I was really looking forward to catching up with all of you again and spending a bit of time with the Mad Max. But the Jeep still has gremlins after the engine and gearbox swap. Who knows. I might just head out there for S*%ts and giggles to have a couple of rums and say g'day. ;)

CCDA Membership / Renewal Applications have been closed for those venturing to Broken Hill for the Outback Challenge. If you have not paid your membership and wish to do so please arrange to do so at the event. With an increasing number of credit cards being declined we are no longer accepting this type of payment at events. The event organiser has been provided with a list of financial members. If you are not on this list you are unfinancial and will need to pay, no exceptions. If you have already paid and are able to prove so the CCDA will refund your money.

CMA racing has gone through a few changes !! ;) ;)
& after the new clutch letting go sunday , the last 2 nights have resulted in gearbox out , new "upgraded" clutch !! & 2night .. gearbox back in !!

Dave thinks the clutch was not working from the start !!! (going by the huge grin & tyre marks everywhere at his work !!)
so 220 at the wheels , could be a lot higher now !!!!
would like to be in the seat .....maybe the rest of the "engel" series !!
but will possibly see everyone on the weekend , for the start !!!

It all seems a bit weird not being out at Broken Hill in May for the OBC, this will be the first time in 12 years that I have not been part of it and I can assure you sitting in my office right now I know where I would prefer to be. I would just like to wish all the competitors old and new all the best of luck and no matter where you finish you are going to have an absolute ball, good luck. Griffo.

SS1 has been won by Pete Mihailoff (Hoon) with a time of 5.16.09

2nd Place Dave Cameron with a time of 5.35.22

3rd Place Brenton Higham with a time of 5.47.09

Greg Scanlon broke a rear diff and DNF'd, they are currently fixing the car and should rejoin the field in SS2.

SS2 is about to start and we'll have more updates later as they happen.

SS2 is now finished with Pete Mihailoff & Clinton Sharpe earning the fastest time again 5.19.00, 2nd fastest was Brett Burns & James Simmonds with 5.25.25 but got a penalty and 3rd fastest was Dave Cameron & Daniel Dewitt with 5.33.94.

Car 22 - David White & Peter Sayers in an 80 Series Ute had a rear spring fall out on SS1 and only got 20 points for SS2, they are now limping back to town to fix the vehicle.

Lawrie & Hobzee are going well, about 6th fastest on SS1 and sbout 11th on SS2.
