Hey all iv recently purchase my dads old middy it's a pretysure tidy. Little rig was curious if 35's wud fit on with just a 2' bodylift and 3' wheelspacers?
Iv go some other querys also about doing a sprung over conversion on it, but I'll leave that or later.
Cheers fellas

No they wont with those mods.
You need to move the front diff forward or trim the rear of the front guards, and trim the lower rear quaters (depends how big a 35'' you have).
The more offset you have on the front (the 3'' wheel spacers) you might run into problems with the tyres hitting the body mounts and the rear of the front guards more than without.
I start with a 2'' lift, diff forward ~40mm and gaurd trimming. THey fitted no worries, but still rubbed on the rear inner guards.

While travelling along the M1 in Brissy, my left rear wheel overtook me !davebj73 wrote:shit hot cruzer their , mate! looks shmiko!!!
ill probly get sum offsets soon, but why not spacer, seeing thats what i have alredy in the shed, anyreason why not?
cheers mate
All the studs on the S___K_ R____G wheel spacer had sheered. Luckily no one was injured.
Besides they are illegal to use on QLD roads
Amount of grinding/cutting really comes down to how flexy your front suspension is and how much body lift you have. Instead of 2'' body lift I went 2'' guard chop, could have gone 2'' chop and 2'' body lift for more clearance. I have pretty flexy front suspension and 33''s still rub a little.MID STRENGTH wrote:I ran 36" swampers on my BJ73......2" body lift 2" spring lift and some EFS extended shackles....I had some custom offset rims made by Fourbys in Brissy ( highly recommend offset rims instead of spacers )
No moving the diff and definately no grinding!
This thread has heaps of good info to fit 35''s on a 70 series leafy.

This is mine on 33''s shocks are about 3'' to short though so much moredroop in it. The last pic shows how little tyre to guard clearance there is. If you have stiff suspension that flexes like a brick less work will need to be done to get 35''s to fit !
haha i have the same colour middy, white fiberglass and red body
ill get sum pics of it up soon,
thinkn of buying some 60 diffs and converting them for a soa set up,
oi iv had a snoop around, and im sure its up here sumwere but i cant for the life of me find out specs on fiting high steer?
thanks fellas

I also have a Middy, and am going to put he 2" spring shackle on. But wondering if anyone is running a turbo with an intercooler system?
I have been running my Denco turbo kit for 4 months now and am about to put in a intercooler and just looking to see where others have mounted theres?
if your running a standard 3b motor i REALLLLLLLYYY recommend getting it turbo'd! it has changed the life of the truck. Got my pump upgrades done my Diesel Australia at Slacks Creek QLD and i am running 7PSi boost atm and using 12.7 L/100Km and i drive that thing like i stole it. so REALLY happy with the turbo from denco. just at 110KM/h on the M1 for more than 20min = rise in temp gauges.
Cheers

anyone know the best place for offset rims for my Middy
Just moved up to Brissy from SA and have had the displeasure of going through your safety check in order to register it here ...
big mistake
anyway I need 15" offset rims (steelies) to fill out my new tjm flares not sure if I'm going to replace my Goodyear Wrangler 285/75 R16 or go down to 15" so stop the rubbing, any help would be appreciated
ps would post and image but seems too hard[/url]

what have you done to un-aligne it ?
Ah ok yeah so you want to get your castor setup correctly. In that case I would goto a reputable tyre shop and ask for an alignment and tell tem to check castor.ndog wrote:because its lifted i think the alignment of the drive shaft and diffs r out i think, i was told i got to get wedges or something? does that sound rite?
You could also try Fourby's at Marooka they seem to do good alignments and know there way around a 4WD which is a good thing.
