Wire to tacho (dash) on on series 2 4 runner

Post by dawg runner »

Hi,

Got a Commo V6 in my S2 1990 YZN130 4 runner and i need to know which wire to put the tacho interface to. I have been through my wiring diagrams that many times and every wire i think it is is no go. I do not know what other wires to try.

I have been also told by marks 4x4 it is a black with silver stripe but it wont work.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

will be a black with silver stripe as suggested.

Maybe there is a fault with the interface or the v6 tacho signal?

Steve,

How can i test your theory?

If the tacho interface is working what should i get on the output wire that would go to the black & silver tacho wire? Pulses of power or??

Is there a fuse the tacho runs off? Could my tacho be faulty behind dash?

Any help appreciated.

Cheers
