Snorkel for Challenger

I was in an ARB/TJM shop (yes both in the one store ) on the weekend enquiring about a snorkel for my 2003 model challenger. The bloke reckons they are not available in either of the major brands (airtech or safari)...can anyone confirm or deny this?

I personally haven't seen a Challenger with a snorkel...................
But I think your best bet would be to use the one that is designated for a late model 3.0 V6 Triton, seen plently of those around.
Both cars share the same motor so the airbox should be identical if not very close same with the guard.

I to have been looking for a snorkel for my Challenger.
I think I have finally found a winner
I am going down to the Air-Flow factory this weekend to see if they can get one to fit.
We are mainly looking at the Triton ones.
The shape of the guard is the main issue.
Would you like me to let you know how i get on?

Just to let you know i went down to Gibson RM the company that manufactures AirFLow snorkels.
The snorkel that they make for the 02 Tritonfit the front 1/4 panel fine.
while i was there they took a template of my car so they can now provide a fitting templete if yuo want to order one as the mounting holes are about 50mm different to the Triton.

I would recommend the guys from Air Flow they came in on a Saturday for me and went above and beyond.
Goes to show the little guys give better service.
Now i just have to get the thimg fitted

just reviving an old thread here,

Am a newbie in here and been looking at snorkles for a bit for my '01 challenger. I ended up with a Safari one for a MK triton diesel, SS650HF, (they dont make one for the petrol)

Fitted it up as per their templet and was spot on. Have had to customize the intake into the filter housing, currently running 45mm high pressure pvc pipe (bodge i know) but am having a make fabricate a stainless section for it.

I'll organise getting some pictures up at another stage.

Also, picked up the safari snorkle from Don Kyatt spares in Seven Hills, $50 cheaper than ARB, and ARB werent even going to get it in for me as not for that model vehicle.

i had a air flow snorkel on my challenger, very poor quality and fitting instructions however
it is the only one available and it did work well.

Any chance of seeing under the bonnet and how they have connected up to the air box? Im figuring a mandrel bent stainless section is prob the best answer since ive gotta customize my own.

the car is long gone however you can see where the snorkel enters the guard, it then
fits in the inner guard and comes out in front of the air box. all the ducting is
removed from the air box which leaves a (from memory) 75mm flange to attach the snorkel ducting.

there is a stack of room between the inner and outer guard however i had to
relocate a relay that was in the way. the relay was something to do with the ABS system as it isn't on non ABS cars.

Thanks Supazuk, no worries. I was luck enough to not have to shift anything in the engine bay even though i have ABS.
