slowly losing water

need help,have got a 91 gq turbo TD42 wagon and im slowy losing water out of my radiator ,it had a bad leak caused by some dodgy welding on the custom alloy raidiator which ich ive repaired with an epoxy kit, its no longer pissing out water like it was before infact i cant find a leak anywhere, water pumps fine ,hoses fine,radiator fine.im just worried ive done a head gasket but dont really know what the symtoms are as ive never done one before ive checked the oil its not milky and the motor drives and sounds fine ,its done over 420,000 kms ,im losing maybe 20mm of water a day if i look down the cap,any suggestions

Check the radiator cap . It may be dumping it slowly out of the overflow
Might be the wrong pressure setting

get a new genuine nissan radiator cap for a start
if that doesnt solve it get a pressure test done on the cooling system
and then you could try a compression test if you still havent solved you problem

thanks guys never would of thought of that didnt honestly know that radiator caps had a pressure setting, thought they were just caps

check that the overflow bottle cap is the right way.... should be constant piping from radiator overflow to the water in overflow bottle..
