Auto's what are you running and whats been done

Post by Sic Lux »

Hi currently rebuilding my hilux. The new engine and gearbox of choice is a 304 and turbo 700, I've already purchased a new manual valvebody that retains engine braking to stop it running away down hills. Just wondering what people have had done to there gearboxes as in rebuilding or beefed up the boxes. It's far from a daily drive it gets hard weekend use and bit of comp work.
One of the quotes i've had so far i can make the box as stong as you can make a turbo 700 for a extra $600 on top of the standard rebuild cost. Is this a good option?
Cheers Dan
plenty of parts on the bench
