351 cleveo back to stock GQ T/D engine

Post by cookieGQ »

Mornin all

Anyone got any idea how hard it would be to rip out my 351 Cleveland and put a Standard Nissan Turbo diesel back in,

I do understand that i will be taking 10 steps back in power but i brought my truck with the 351 already fitted and since day one i have had nothing but problems with it and the shit house straight gas system

Also will this change have to be re engineered and tips or pointers would be tops

cheers

sell your current car and buy another one.

by the time you spend a heap of coin getting a decent TD42, spending all the time and money swapping it back in, changing engine mounts and hunting for a the little nick naks that you need, you could have just sold your truck to someone who thinks he really wants a V8 Patrol and bought a decent truck with the engine already in and running fine.

I recently picked up a TD42 wagon in great condition for 4grand. A decent motor will cost you nearly that much.

what he said ^

or Just change the LPG setup and rebuild the 51 if you have to. It would still be cheaper and easier.
