hey i am jus wondering if a 92 modle surf engine fit into my 88 surf as i want 2 put a new motor in mine as the 88 modle motor is crap as i found out bye it blowing up if so will i need 2 change anything 4 the convertion cheers nick
The 3 litre surf engine is a 1KZ-TE and very different to the 2L you have in your rig.
Can and has been done tho will be a fair bit of work changing engine mounts, custom gear box mount, etc. as mentioned.
Then there are the electrics ..... hope you enjoy playing with spaghetti.
If you are still keen on doing it, may want to grab a 90's model dash to make things a bit easier.
