Hi Guys
Just about to place an order online for a set of coils for a 91 GQ LWB highroof.
Running 33's, tube style steel bumper on the front with 8274 winch, TD42 with dual batteries.
Sliders, rear tube-style bumper w/quarter chop and a long range diesel tank.
Camping gear inside with drawers, etc...
Just looking to order 3" Dobinson's . C45-108 fronts and C45-309T for the rears.
What length procomp shocks are you guys using with the 3" Dobinson springs ?
Cheers
Jesse

Re: 3" lift w/ procomp shocks
Sorry jesse, i meant to reply to your Patrol topic but forgot.
My Procomps are extended 570mm front and 710mm rear and x Suspension stuff. But that doesn't mean that thats what you should get. Procomp have a good range of lengths and you should actually measure your travel once you have the coils in so that you get the optimum shock.
As above email Shane at Susp Stuff and he will be able to work it out for ya.

Re: 3" lift w/ procomp shocks
Thanks guys.
I think that's what I'll do.
Just install the springs, flex it up and measure.
Procomp's are easy to get in Canada so it shouldn't be an issue.

Re: 3" lift w/ procomp shocks
Mate I run 4in dobbo flexi coils all round with Big''O'' drop arms in the front . In the rear I have 16mm longer arms top and bottom with the longest procomp shocks possible. Doing this you need to retain the coil to the diff and fit dropout cones to the top . My shock part numbers are as follows: Front 926560 Rear 929546. My coils are Front C45-270V Rear C45-271V. I am very happy with this setup as my Patrol flexs well , I have to run sway bars with quick disconnects as my Patrol is set up for touring as well as being a daily driver.

Re: 3" lift w/ procomp shocks
Hey Mate, I'm running 3" dobs all round and procomp shocks, nice combo. I've got flexy coils in the rear and running drop out cones also, 32.5" rears and the fronts are 555mm extended or something similar. Also running extended bumpstops but prolly still not long enough really

Re: 3" lift w/ procomp shocks
How are you guys finding the flexy coils in the rear ?
Ideally, 3" flexy in the rear and 3" Dobinsons in the front but I'm worried about too much flex in the rear that will affect road handling and sag with rear tube bumper, larger diesel tank, roof rack and camping gear inside. Also wondering if it would limit the front from flexing since the rear is flexing easily.
Opinions ?
Cheers

Re: 3" lift w/ procomp shocks
My GU has a arb full roof rack which I fill as well as fill the back of the wagon and I tow a Jayco Hawke offroad caravan , my springs havn't sagged . As for road handling I run sway bars with quick dissconnects and it handles well for a 4in lifted truck. I previously had a GQ with 2in spring and 2in body with king springs and ranchos and I think the GU handles better both on road and off.
