1HZ to 1HDT pump

Post by fumduk3 »

quick question, if i replace a 1hz injector pump with a 1hdt pump should i time it to 1hz specs or 1hdt specs? Camshaft lift is different on both engines........dunno if this will affect things

I would say 1hz specs, but you may have to play with it. It wont be bothered by camshaft specs, but injectors are quite different in opening pressures.

I did the opposite, I fitted a 1HZ pump to a 1HD-T and could get it to run properly at all. I tried setting the timing to both 1HZ and 1HD-T specs and still had no luck :?
