Very tru, you have to budget in travel costs, parts, entry fees, and breakages every comp adds up.

Evan

yeah what they said.
If you dont own a car trailer and go to an event like Toperi challenge.
If you havent spent $1k on the weekend you didnt go.
but often with trailer hire, fuel, entry, time off work and buying spares its alot more then you think $$ wise.

Yeah i agree thats very true .
the tow vehicle and trailer are just the start . competitions = $$

He's probably doing alright if he already has a comp ready 80, and is talking to engineers.

I suggested the f truck and trailer as the combined value would be similar to a good 80 series, and an f truck would be suitalbe as a daily driver moreso than a flat bed truck.
Yeah they are big, but no bigger than something like a transit van/hiace bus etc, and they are easy to park and maneuver if you know what you're doing. It's also reasonable to run if on gas, and most these days are already running it.

get it engineered with the 38's why only 33's. If a mate can get his zook engineered with 35's at least 2 years ago there shouldnt be a problem

I'd just chuck it on the back of either a Jap truck or an older 4x4 Inter Acco.

From what i've heard from a number of sources virtually every car being engineered at the moment is being hauled in by the rta.
Doesnt matter if its 4x4, street car, hot rod or who's engineered it they are nearly all getting pulled in and gone over with a fine tooth comb.

Ironic from a safety stand point as an engineered vehcile is more likely safer/compliant than a non engineered one, and those are the ones that aren't as easy to identify and haul in. Must be a cash grab.
