92 jackaroo (petrol) Big problems

Post by Evan-08 »

Hi i have a problem with my wifes jackaroo i have gone through all the other posts looking and doing the things that everybody has suggested and still runs like Crap .I have done a comp test and their is only 2 cylinders that are sus and they are the drivers side 2 rear one's they arte running a comp of 200 and the rest are 170 to 180 the cat has been cleaned right out and the muffler is knackered . Now the car starts up and rev's up (i guess it's the choke)then starts running rough like a couple of leads are pulled off (have new leads 2 months old and plugs) my first thought was burnt out valve but comp test fixed that one for me so any help would be great .
cheers Evan

Can you list what you have tried, a pain I know...

Anything like O2 sensor, Throttle position switch, Idle Air Control?

200 psi really? Must ping like crazy unless you've backed the timing right off, that's high. In the book it's sposed to be 170psi for a fresh engine.
