Just a curious question, Has anyone got any test results or dyno or however its done on how much Torque is being generated at the drum of a winch?
With all the mods these days it would be good to see some numbers to compare.
Cheers.

Re: Winch Torque..Any numbers on Nm generated at the drum?
Find out the amount of kg you can pull, multiply that by 9.8 (converting kg force to Newtons) and multiply that by the radius of the drum in metres.
ie 2487kg with a drum diameter of 90mm (radius 45mm or 0.045m)
2487 x 9.8 x 0.045 = 10967.67Nm
There is no actual absolute torque figure as such, the amount that is generated will be in proportion to the load applied, ie you can work out the instantaneous torque with a given load.
