Silly Rancho question

Post by Screwy »

On the adustable RS9000 rancho shockies..... Is the the hard setting number 5 or number 1???
and does that number have to be at the top, bottom, side etc.???? as all the markings no mine are gone.

Basically do u turn it all the way clockwise for hard of for soft???

cheers,

Screwy

I have them in mine, 1 is soft, 5 is hard I found it a bit hard to tell the difference between all the settings with leaf springs. I think the are more suited to coil suspensions where the ocillations are more promiment. Leaf sprung patrols are not renound for their ride
Don't ask me, ask them. I'm just runnin for my life myself.

Holy shit

My rig almost rolls on setting 1 just sitting in the driveway

Setting 9 makes my fillings fall out ;)

You dont have a stutter do you

They just don't suit my application, my springs are fairly stiff, I think they would be better for softer set springs. Thats all.

N-n-n-n-n-n-a I-I-I-I d-d-d-on't have a st-st-st-stutter :?

They wont make a huge difference on a very stiff leaf pack. I am only running a few leaves in my pack and they are quite soft, so the difference in the the shock settings is very noticeable ;)

And the answer to the original question is as others have suggested, setting 1 is the softest

I finally got off my arse and ramped the old girl with the rear shocks out swaybars off and front ranchos on soft ( the rears are too short and are standard )

Am not happy at all with the down travel in the rear. I know the front is never fantastic but the i was expecting better things from the rear. Am cnosidering taking as many as 2 leaves out of each side????
opinions...

Is 9 on the new ones the same as 5 on the old ones ? with more settings in between OR is there a bigger range of softness/hardness ?
