1fzfe gearbox - 3f?

Post by crankycruiser »

does anyone know if the box from a 1fzfe 75 series will bolt up to a 3f? if not could it just be a matter of changing bellhousings?

thanks fellas!

No it wont, you'll need the 3f bellhousing for the h15x

Yep, so long as it was an 80 series 3f not a 60/70.

Actually double check the box. there is the h151 and the h55f both with a 3f in front make sure to get the right bellhousing

Not sure if the code is on the box, but if it's a h55f it will have a shifting mechanism poking out of the top cover connecting to the 5th gear, in the seperate rear housing. the h15x does not have that.

So if you have a h15x all you need is a 3f bellhousing from an early 80 series and it will bolt straight on.

The FJ80 (3F) used the H150F box, the FZJ80 used the H151F box.

They should interchange / bolt in by swapping bell housings, but the input shaft will be wrong.
