blast and powdercoat Bayswater (vic)

Post by ash_on_mtb »

Looking for recommendations for sandblasting then powdercoating a spare wheel carrier next week. Its come off the old truck, and heading for the new, but its looking its age at the moment. Want to get it blasted to remove old powdercoat, possibly treat rust damage if the blasting doesn't dispose of it, then get it powdercoated for its next application.

Bayswater preferably, Barry St/Malvern road ideally, but can travel a little if you know someone who can do a good job and help out...

Suggestions, experiences, advice, recommendations all better than the yellow pages. IF you know someone, hook a brutha up.

Thanks

I have not used them, but I was asking the people at Eastern Auto Paints for a good sandblaster in the area (they have been there ages and know all the other businesses in their area pretty well). They recommended Neil at Bayswater Powdercoating, 1/12 Melrich Rd ph. 9762 4991.

Again, no direct experience but Eastern Auto Paints have usually steered me pretty well.

If you do check the place out let me know how it goes as I may need to use them soon.

Bayswater powdercoating seem very helpful, and have the full range of equipment and procedures, so I'll give them a shot.

Cheers,

got the spare wheel carrier back tonight.

Bayswater powdercoaters did a good job.

Chemical dip to remove the old powdercoat.

Blast to remove rust scale etc and smooth the damage out.

Powdercoat smooth as you like.

Looks good, happy with service etc. Be sure to let them know if you're in a rush tho, good work takes time I guess...

recommended.
