Ok so I am doing the balino twin coil convert in to my sierra.
The question I have is. What flywheel should I use? I will be running a vitara 5 speed behind it. I have a exedy HD clutch for a EFI vitara. I have the flywheel that came on the balino motor that looks great no burn spots and looks the goods. I have a 1.6 carby flywheel that is in faily good nic no discoloration or pits or anything or I Have a EFI vitara flywheel that is not scratched up but it has some bad heat spots and the last clutch got that hot it melted the thrust bearing.
Oh and no I have not put them side by side to look at them the 2 vitara flywheels are at my house the engine is at my mates workshop.
Is the Balino flywheel the same as the vitara one if not whats different is it as strong? Is there any real difference?
Kind of a odd question Just really wondering what others have done?

Fly wheel/clutch question
Re: Fly wheel/clutch question
Not many people have run a Bal motor with the vit box, as they normally get the whole vit setup in one go.
Id bolt the vit efi/carb flywheel on to be safe. Makesure the clutch bolts on. Get the flywheel re-machined.

Re: Fly wheel/clutch question
I think you'll generally find that flywheels from a car application are lighter ( = better for faster rev increase) than those from a 4wd on a "similar" motor.V.W.Dave wrote:Thanks Joejoeblow wrote:use the vit flywheel with a vit gearbox. its thicker.
